Interesting you show this when you did because I have a very similar concept for a wedge that I plan to show on August 5th.
The wedge called Debt. When you land on it, your round score automatically goes negative but you keep your turn. If you land on it with a negative score, it goes right back to positive, but you may lose some money along the way. Plus, you're better off not solving the puzzle with a negative score since that can decrease your total winnings.
But speaking of which, for your wedge, are earnings from previous rounds affected by any chance?

if they won the round while they score is negative? yes.

I see. With that said, I don't know about you, but for me, the total score will have a bed of $0 and contestants will still have the $1000 consolation prize if worse comes to worse after that.
