You obviously haven't seen a fraction of the manga styles out there then, i don't think you have a right to say what a category deserves. I think that's very disrespectful to the culture it originates from as well.

I think I have right to share my opinions, like everyone else has. You may agree or disagree, it's up to you. I wouldn't say a word about manga genere if I didn't know this matter well. Besides, my comment was dedicated to somebody else, so your talking about what is respectful and what is not is kinda funny in this situation.

I'm not trying to put you down or be smart. It's just I've seen very many people say the same thing as you and all they generalize manga to be is cute big eyed, deformed stuff. I just don't like art bigots. You do have a right to your opinion though, as I do mine, I am just disagreeing which I also have a right to do.

I could tell the artist works were manga influencef when i first watched her a year ago, but its ok if you choose to ignore that. It's not funny at all really, because I don't go around saying what category peoples stuff should be in if I know they intended for it to be that way.

I'm far from generalizing, but I understand people's opinion, cause they can be simply sick and tired of manga/anime like stuff, which is present everywhere. And web is simply overloaded with big eyed, unisex mutants. I must say that I liked very much Apple Seed and Ghost in the Shell series, which are old and...different,which had good drawings and great stories. I even like Hayao Miyazaki's animation, so maybe I'm not such a big ignorant.
But I will never call manga and anime, as generes, an art. It is definitely a part of culture, but things must be unique and original to deserve for "artistic" category. I'm sure you can find several manga series that are better and more special than rest of this ordinary pop-crap. And like you said, things can be influenced, or, like I prefer to think, inspired by something. Commenting on that person's picture I only wanted to show my sympathy and respect and also admiration for something the artist did. Cause imo he (you said she, but as far as I know, he's a guy) made an artwork, which was beyond all categories. You do, what is right and correct in your opinion, I do and say, what I think should be done and said. If somebody feels offended, it's their problem, not mine, but I appreciate you found some time and energy to share your point of view.

I appreciate you replied on a comment, that wasn't directed to you and didn't even related to your work.
It's fine, that you misunderstand things. It is your right to misunderstand and there's nothing to apologize for.
And it is your right to share thoughts and pictures, that you consider interesting, but there's no point to do that with completely random people like myself. My knowledge about art, my sense of aesthetics, my artistic education formed my tastes and judgement and I don't expect anyone to agree with my opinions.
Maybe you  shouldn't care that much about things that don't concern you and probably you shouldn't care about sharing stuff and changing minds of people, who simply don't care. Cause you see, I don't care and I find your message rude, cause I wouldn't send anything like that to unknown person. I wouldn't spam anyone who I don't know with some galleries that I believe are awesome. I wouldn't try to convince anyone to anything.
But I'm not upset with you. I imagine that you are a very young person, who believes that it is very important to speak one's mind, share thoughts and feelings and that everything thatyou've got inside your head and heart has a great value and must be shared with the World.
And maybe one day you will also learn, that it's good to be quiet, when nobody asks your opinion.
