The scar details really sell this one for me I love the subtle airbrushing and the blend between realistic and toon. Fantastic work yet again!

wow this looks great! really like the head shape, Q: how DO you get the head shape so nice and even? use foam or something else?

just carve out foam ^.^ then go back with scissors to make it even and smooth. i am not a fast fursuit creator I take time looking at reference materials and keep moving the head in all different angles to make sure its even and looks right from all sides.

ahhh yes that makes sense. We use just sheets of foam and build up on the mask (takes a VERY long time as well, we use the plastic mesh idea, dont know if you do the same ) but I guess you can see how, compared to your method, would make some spots uneven. I use tons of reference and even after the finished product, I always find little mistakes I have made and have to fix them after the fur is already on Thick foam around our area is like 70$ a yard, how much do you use? I can imagine maybe a couple feet?

Yes, i use heat forming plastic and plastic mesh for the base. dont use much foam for the heads, just 2" and 1/2" for the cheeks/muzzle and eye ridge. top and back of head are left open so air can flow threw the mask.

Cool, get paws (with foot paws or shoes) and clothes and you have a furona costume, well done. Fav!

Wow, this is gorgeous! Your style here is a perfect example of translating anime-esque drawings to mascot well, it's the perfect blend of accuracy and realism.

I love the shading along the fur color change seams and the shaving/trim work is beautiful, very smooth an natural looking. I like it's eyes too, very expressive! Those scars are super impressive too, I think it's the first instance I can think of where they actually look like damaged skin, brilliant idea to use latex!

Is this based on a commercial character, or just a personal one of a client? Either way I love the style, very cool.

Oh, that's probably Gin then. I don't remember the rest of the name, but I have some friends who are fans of it.

Anyways, again, beautiful job! I've loved your work since back when you made Kilala. ^^

Well it's really, really cool. A lot of times the fursona suits seem a bit generic to me, but that's totally not the case with this guy! He's incredibly unique and full of personality, not to mention brilliantly constructed. I'd be excited to take delivery of it too! XD
