Gave myself a real challenge with all that hair, but drawing hair is something I really want to get better at so I am very happy with how it turned out ^.^ (even though I got a bit tired at the end)

But anyway~ Takeru is such a cutieee >.<
Hopefully SuG will get back together soon!

Your portraits are so amazing!   It makes me jealous   I want to draw so well too! I mean the contrast is amazing, and so are the details. The hair is extremely well done, I must say. It looks very lifelike - in fact the entire portrait looks very lifelike. This is overall a masterpiece.

Your talent is amazing - I can't believe it. Be proud of yourself - I would be, if I were you I'm very happy to hear that I could make you happy.   Just a question: what kind of tools do you use? Because I find it very difficult to make black details with a pencil - even with the softest pencil. It just ends up looking messy. Or maybe it's just me who isn't talented enough

Um, the thing is that I really am not very experienced in drawing, so I don't really have any special techniques or something... For the black parts in this drawing though i think i just went over it with the darkest pencils/charcoal/graphite(/markers?) I could find. Also, because the rest of this drawing is kind of pale, I think the black 'pops' more than it usually would.
You should know though that this isn't the drawing, it's a photograph of the drawing, and usually I try to make them look a bit better in the computer before I upload them. So even though the contrast is there in real life too, it doesn't come across as much as here... If you'd like to see it, I could upload some unedited/uncropped photographs of it to my scrapbook

(oops this got really long) but thank you for taking the time to comment! And you should have more confidence! My drawings aren't about creativity, just about trying to copy a photograph (which probably is one of the least useful skills you could have), but it is fun to do if you take your time, and I also think it is good practise. But you should only do it if it makes you feel better, for example, I always draw really late at night, because that's when I feel calm and inspired enough to enjoy it. It takes a lot of patience!

But thanks! And sorry! For this long entry! I dont wanna do my homework and thats why im doing this!

Thank you very much for the information, it was very helpful I would like to see an unedited photograph of the drawing, if you don't mind. But even though you can change the contrast/lightness and so on, on the computer, it can't draw the drawing for you. I still think you are extremely talented. Actually it's more difficult to copy a photograph than you think. It takes a lot to catch the right face expression, shadows.... It actually demands talent to copy a photograph. Think of all the details you have to catch. That's my personal opinion. But I also make it extremely difficult for myself. I usually use several different pictures of the same person and then mix the pictures together in my head and draw it. Sounds confusing and it is.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I just think other people's work is better than mine But that can also be motivating because it pushes me forward.
And you are very welcome. I love to comment when I see something beautiful Good luck with your homework

This is a really cool portrait agfatsiwkgh I have no idea how you did it in only 7 hours though~ I take, like, eternities to finish a portrait. I'm so jealous of people who can work fast.
I really like his eye, it's really good. And yes, hair is a struggle, but you did really good so you deserve to be proud of yourself.

Aww thank you so much!
And about the time... Sometimes everything just works out and you are thinking "wow, drawing is so much fun", but then there are other days when you can't draw a line straight ._. I guess this was made during one of the good days...
But anyway thanks a lot ^.^ I am proud of it and I'm very happy that someone else thinks it's good. Makes me want to keep drawing!
