Amazing use of colour and perspective. Immediately what strikes me is the use of that white outline and the simply outstanding use of colour
The burst of the tentacles highlighted by the white outline is simply superb and adds so much dynamic to the image; the contrast is only heightened by the darker background.
The posture of the figure itself is so confronting; the way the head seems to force itself into the scene brings out its form so much. The darker colour seen in the lower section of the body work very nicely to further draw out the face.
The vibrant sparks of line that whiz from the neck of the figure do wonders for the composition and balance out the colour scheme whilst spicing up the image even more; the jutting edges paired with the force of the tentacles is insanely engaging.
In addition to this, the white that surrounds the image highlights the spitting colour that rains from the tentacles spectacularly and gives this wonderful sense of space.
Everything about this piece, particularly the composition, works so well and is unbelievably engaging. The vibrant colour scheme in itself pushes this off the edge.
