Dux peaked his ears, looking intensively at the trees on the other side of the fence. Delilah looked at him and put her muzzle on his shoulder to calm him down. Ever since Delilah had arrived at MonsLeonis, Dux had lost his heart to her, and she had lost her heart to him, crying if they weren't put in the same paddock. The staff quickly learned that these two horses would not give up, not a chance.
Dux had heard something, he quickly looked at Delilah, was she hearing it too? She just looked at him, shaking her head like she had read his mind.
It was a beautiful day, she looked up at the sky, almost no clouds and close to sunset, the sky was turning light blue, pink and orange. Suddenly she was also interrupted by a sound, both horses looked at the treeline, it was getting darker, but the white and red stallion was suddenly very easy to see, both pretty startled reared and snorted, making their manes rattle.
Regale looked at the feisty couple with a smile, these two would be perfect for his quest.
Walking up to the fence with a open posture, the two deserts calmed down a bit, he didn't seem to be a threat, also there was the electric fence between them. Dux stepped in front of Delilah, "Who are you?" he asked the stranger, "what do you want?" he followed up with before the stallion had time to answer. Regale looked at the couple and at the fence, he had been here before, recruiting other ballators to his game. He smiled at Dux and Delilah, "You might have heard stories of me, I'm Regale" he answered. Duxs ears perked, Candy had spoken of this stallion before, on her journey she had gained all her gifts that she proudly wore on her coat, was he going to offer the same thing for them, or just one of them? Delilah had moved closer to Regale while Dux was thinking, without him noticing. Regale and Delilah was now face to face, "Hi I'm Delilah, and the protective stallion here is Dux, and yes we have heard of you and your quests" she had a warm smile on her.
Regale looked her straight in the eyes, "Good, good! Then you know why I'm here" his voice was warm and kind, the same was his gaze. "Do you accept?" he proceeded to ask. Delilah looked back at Dux who was now mentally present again, he looked at her with a it's-up-to-you kinda look, and she knew he would follow her anywhere, so she turned her gaze back at Regale and nodded, "we accept".
