Dayangs strive for "wyrphat'd" -- a life of leisure. To obtain this lofty goal, Dayangs (usually working together in large numbers) sell and manufacture goods, often reverse-engineering alien artifacts they happen to find. As a result, their encryption technology is the best in the galaxy, even putting the Chee to shame.
Originally from the planet Gianna Draquen (which shares it's name with their god), Dayangs have colonized other worlds, though many find careers on merchant ships.

The main torso of a Dayang can freely slide and rotate upon the lower section, allowing the Dayang to move about while remaining at rest. Besides speech, Dayangs communicate with tentacle gestures.
