Been in a grimdark nostalgic kick lately, and felt like drawing some the more memorable space horrors. Skeletal robots wearing the skinned hides of their victims is freakish as it is, but what makes the Necron "Flayed Ones" stand out is that they desperately want to be fleshy beings again and this is the closest they can manage. Ghoulish yet sympathetic, one of my favorite combinations!___________________

Ah, the halcyon days of 4th ed, where Necrons were space skeletons with a faceless metallic feel and who's tactics were a unstoppable metal wall. This was before the Wardian apocalypse, and now we are space Egyptians with no war gear selection, low stats for high points, and are for some damn reason battlebrothers with the Blood Angels...
