Fue una famosa navegante aérea soviética que participó en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Al inicio de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, existían en la Unión Soviética numerosas mujeres entrenadas como navegantes y pilotos militares y civiles. Se le acredita la organizacion de tres regimientos aéreos conformados por mujeres, estos regimientos fueron conocidos por sus enemigos como "die Nachthexen" (Brujas Nocturnas).

At the beginning of the Second World War, there were many trained women in the Soviet Union as navigators and military and civilian pilots.
