I'll let you say what you like or don't like in this picture
))The steps were actually that gray color, but the brick wall was a weird brown and it was kind of distracting, so I decided to make it b/w, except for the nice warm light...))

If the light hadn't been like this naturally, I would have tried to colorize it purple or stuff to make it a bit more.. interesting = D. But it looks great anyway!

I think it is nice idea, I imagine myself longing to get to a place I love to be in, and when i see it, I think its like your picture, everything comes to second place, haha i dunno, like focusing on to something so hard.

The choice to make the light source the only color in this shot is a very good one. It pulls you into your 'secret place'. We modify color, brightness, contrast, etc. to accentuate certain aspects of a shot, and you do this very well here.
