"The sound of raindrops dripping into the vast ocean echos their way towards my eardrums. Beckoning me to follow through, they whisper sweet nothings of an invitation. To follow and submerge myself alongside them, drowning in the infinite pool of life. "Join us". I stare lifelessly at the mirror, facing the muddled reflection of myself that shape-shifts ceaselessly with the waves.

“Snap!”

Startled, eyes wide, I whip my head around towards the sound's origin. Ah. It was simply Seriah. There she was, still standing opposite to me on the pier some distances away. Facing the sunset with her camera in hand, held right in front of her face. I turn back, once again facing the creeping darkness. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Am I the only one who can hear this? I slowly close my eyes and take a deep breath. But the rain had no voice, it cannot speak, I thought. “I’m tired”, I whispered under my breath", as I turn around to depart."

This piece started back in November, but had to be halted for the pieces prior to this upload. I started working on this again a few weeks ago and now it's finished! ' u')

I tried to draw something that reminded me of the chill of the beach as I stood on the pier. Watching as the wind blowing whilst the sky transitions from twilight into night time was, well, pretty awesome in my opinion!! It's one of my favorite things to do when alone in a park or standing at the pier.. as mundane as it sounds = 3=;;

I attempted to bring in the feelings of the refreshing breeze into the drawing as I recalled back to the sensation brought onto me on the pier, so hopefully that came through in this drawing. Also also, rain + rainbows + lit sky is absolutely beauuutiful imo. I take photos of them whenever I can irl. uwu

Looking at it, I think technicality wise, this is my best illustration so far. I did not use perspective rulers tho btw so I have no idea if there's anything funky in this KGSKJSKS.. forgive me ;-;

On other words, wowie. Can you believe it? I haven't made a proper drawing with Seriah in it in a million years, whew. It's not even drawn from her front perspective so shame on me. LOL

Also also also, here's the sketch that I left off at the end of November.
It's kinda cool to see the before and after of a drawing. Although, the progress of the drawing is kinda weird, I suppose?
I paint in the base before doing the lineart, but I do the lineart as I paint. It sounds painstaking but it makes it easier to correct mistakes, for me anyways.
