Ability

Keitu has the ability to teleport by summoning portals. While the summoning process is relatively quick, it isn't instantaneous and takes about 5-10 seconds to complete, depending on his energy levels. Additionally, the process itself drains him quite a bit and can therefore only be performed maybe once or twice a day. When he summons a portal, there is a momentary flash of bright light, so he can't disappear inconspicuously. Despite all the drawbacks, he is quite proficient at accurately getting to where he needs to and has also learned that he can take objects that he's in physical contact with alongside him during the teleportation process (including people).

At first glance, Keitu is a typical teenage boy that enjoys hanging out with his friends and messing around with girls. He is often seen talking with others or playing harmless pranks in order to bring attention to himself, as he loves the spotlight. That being said, he will often do disruptive things that get him into trouble, but just enough to cause a bit of excitement rather than actually cause harm to someone else. Being as confident as he is, he also has a tendency to flirt with girls to see them nervous and blushing. If they don't meet his expectations, he gets bored rather quickly and won't act nearly as cheerful as he did initially. When he gets close to someone, he can be very protective of them and would do anything to defend them. However, getting close to him also reveals the more negative aspects of his personality. He has a bit of a sadistic streak, sometimes enjoying seeing people cry at his actions or even expressing his wishes for someone to get hurt. Even so, he's not the type to physically attack someone because it's too tiring to deal with the consequences. He also gets ticked off easily by people whose actions don't seem to make sense to him or if they seem whiny and needy. When he meets someone that annoys him, he'll mock him in subtle ways (sometimes not-so-subtle) in order to bring himself some entertainment or make them realize that they're annoying him. Keitu can also be rather impatient, both with situations and people, as he doesn't want to waste time doing seemingly pointless things. Though he knows all these bad aspects of his personality, he is too stubborn to change them and become a better person because he thinks that he shouldn't have to change for others.

Backstory

Keitu's first ten years of life were typical of a growing boy. He liked to make messes, ate seemingly endless amounts of food, and talked of protecting his family with all his might when he grew up. When he was six-years-old, he was introduced to his baby sister and he quickly grew attached to her. He'd frequently bounce at his mother's side telling her of how impatient he was for his sister to grow up and play with him in the backyard. Once his little sister did grow up to be a four-year-old, they began to bond more and played outside a lot, even making a tree house to get away from their parents when needed. Even so, his sister was still rather uncoordinated and young and needed to be supervised carefully while outside. Thankfully, for two years, nothing bad happened and they grew attached to the tree house, spending countless days in there just talking and laughing the way siblings should.

One day, when Keitu wasn't looking, his sister saw a butterfly fluttering around the tree house in which she was sitting. She stared at it mesmerized and tried to reach out for it but missed. Since she was close to her brother, she too was stubborn and wouldn't give up her chase, jumping up and down trying to retrieve the elusive butterfly so she could show her brother. Keitu heard the sound of her jumping and became alarmed, telling her to be careful. Already he could sense that something was about to go wrong. But before she could register what he said, she lost her balance and tumbled over the edge of the tree house. The panicking Keitu was too far away to run to her, and he wished he could just magically appear beneath her to break her fall. He cried out her name and tried to run as fast as he could to her, but realized that he had already reached her even though he had only taken about four strides forward. His sister fell on top of him, not suffering any major injuries, but immediately looking up at her brother in shock. Later that night, the two children talked of the experience to their parents, who became deeply concerned. Their kids had active imaginations, but it wasn't often that they both looked this troubled when telling them such things. After a few years, nothing else came up of Keitu's ability, but the incident constantly replayed in his head as he began to wonder if something was wrong with him.

To Keitu's delight, his parents finally came up with results. They found out about a school full of other children that seemed to have supernatural powers, so it wasn't impossible for Keitu himself to possess an ability as well. After asking Keitu if he wished to attend, he thought about it but rejected, wanting to make sure that he truly did possess such a power. For another year he tried to mimic the action he had performed so many years before when finally he was able to go from one part of his room to another. Delighted, he showed his parents the new ability and announced that he was ready to join the school. From this point on, Iyasu Tsubasa Gakuen would be his new home.

- He likes to do things with other people, but also needs a break sometimes just like everyone else.
- Though he's generally a pretty happy guy, his emotions are rather subtle and not overly expressed. (This is kind of hard to explain without roleplaying, sorry-)

I also tend to reply really late due to school and other RP groups, so please be patient with me!

I'm also alright with crack RPs and shipping, but I don't like to ship my characters quickly. Don't try to force a ship on me, that freaks me out. ;v; He's also a really important OC to me, so I'll be really picky if/when I choose a ship.

I also like long RPs, so if you want a short RP consisting of a sentence or two, I'm probably not the right person to RP with. I'll most likely drop any RPs that end up like that. Sorry, it's just a strong personal preference. D:
