What a Day....
Having only been out of the water for such a short time, she returns to report what she has found. But when she returns to the pond she once spawned, to find something new within it's waters. As if it was placed there for her to rest upon. To give her new legs a chance to rest, a bed of moss has gathered upon it to give tender care to the soft skin she now much care for. The bed of which she now rests, gives her comfort as she continues her story, telling of the various things she has discovered, what lies beyond the reach of the still waters. The waters start to give off a moister, as it tries to warm the air. Her skin reacting to the chill of the air, starts to react to the warmth being given off by the water. She no longer feels as cold, as if the water is giving her a welcome home. Although she knows she could never return to the water she was created from, as she knows there is more to learn, more to find. She just stays long enough to tell her stories, give words to the emotions she has felt, describe the adventure she has had in such a short time. Knowing she will soon leave the still waters and never return, she thanks the pond, for giving her this chance to share the world outside the pond's reach.
She is grateful for the gifts given by the pond, but soon feels the wanderlust of the world take over her heart. She may yet return, but only after she is done with her life, at which time she will then tell the stories that have yet to be written. But for now she will just enjoy the time she has, spending this one last night before she leaves the forrest, having decided to continue her exploration of the world beyond the forrest. She only hopes this pond will endure any changes the world may have in store for her. SO she will have a place to return when her adventures are over. She leaves a lock of her hair, as a marker, and a gift for the pond. As it is all she has for now to give, as a memory of her visit, and of her existence. World continues to call, and her wanderlust grows. Tracing her fingers along the surface of the water, she falls asleep upon this bed, taking one last night in what she once called her home.
As the morning sun arises, she feels it's warmth upon her skin, a warm breeze flows across the water, rippling the surface, as it waves goodbye to it's offspring, giving it's blessing to her, wishing her well on her journey into a new life. She rises off her bed and steps into the water, washing herself one one last time within it's water, as she move towards the edge of the pond. She enters the forrest, shedding a tear as she leaves sight of the pond. Her adventures continue, Where will they lead her?
