Description First shoot with the princess costume I bought a while ago. I’ve been waiting for the right model and when Vanessa got in touch I thought she’d be a good candidate.

And then Nicola did her hair and makeup magic and we got some stand out portrait shots.

Oddly enough this shot started out as the establishment shot for a naughty vintage style Princess pinup striptease sequence which Vanessa is particularly skilled at as an exotic dancer. But just as a standalone portrait shot it ended up being my favourite shot from the shoot.

Well I'm no pro and I don't have any artistic training so my opinoin is just that, my opinoin, but I think this model looks beautiful in this dress and I also think this is a beautiful shot.

Well thanks for the lovely comment. Yes she is. Actually I'd forgotten she did a striptease sequence with this costume that looks great - must get around to processing and posting them.

Geoff,

Normally I don't say anything negative about any of your shots, And I hope this does not come out that way. I just do think this model really fits this dress. It may be my personal preference. But Looking at her straight on, all I notice if the Jawline and the Legs. not so much the dress of how it fits her. Maybe is she was looking to the side, or off center a bit, might work well. But something about this shot just does not feel right. But then that's just my opinion. Sorry it's just what I see when I look at it. Don't get me wrong the model is beautiful, as is the dress, I just don't think they go together that well.

No problem at all David - constructive criticism is really helpful. I'd always much prefer to hear an honest opinion. I take your point now that you mention those things. I'll be interested to see what you make of the others in this series when it becomes more pinup style - the style and mood changes a lot as do the perspectives on Vanessa. Thanks mate
