I can't seem to see the impact, unlike most of your drawings, doesn't quite look like the punch connected and it looks like Belle is farther back than Elmyra, but that could just be me.

Yeah I'm not too happy with the drawing overall. It was mostly me practicing drawing punches.

don't think it is too much an issue in the drawing, just Elmyra's legs aren't quite bent enough nor show much motion, and Belle's head is barely even tilted:although completely being snapped backs can get dumb at times, it always helps to showthe momentum in play, as in a scene immediately after or right at the blow, to show impact. These, of course, you would already know: this is just what I noticed in this pic; more like soon after the hit, when all the momentum and impact had receded.

I actually thought that Elmyra was a lot taller than what you said she was in the journal. Nonetheless, ouch.

Elmyra is taller definitely; the scale looks wrong because of the two different postures of the characters. Elmyra is crouched, her body twisting with the punch so she's kinda squished. Belle got socked under her chin with her body involuntarily stretching in the air so she looks bigger. Belle is actually a few inches in the air but it's hard to tell as its a pencil sketch.

Oh yeah, of course. I just thought overall Elmyra was taller, maybe because of that mean/dominant streak she has going on with her.
