Lupe is the third born child of Pepa and Félix Madrigal, younger sister of Dolores and Camilo, and older sister of Antonio. Her gift is to to manipulate portals. She’s one of Mirabel’s younger cousins and very fun to be with. Lupe cares a lot about her family, and tries to help them in every way, even if it means doing things she’s scared to do. Lupe has an extremely close bond with her siblings and enjoys being with them.

When Lupe was 6, she was playing by herself when she fell down. Lupe was crying when a boy her age came up to her and cheered her up. He introduced himself as Arlo Delgado. The two played together for a while until Lupe had to go home. They played together everyday until Lupe turned 8 and had to help the town in some way. The two saw each other less, but Arlo would come talk to her when he had time to. The two eventually developed feelings for each other, and they began to date after the events of Encanto.
