I gotta admit.. as much as I stereo-typically have nothing against her old outfit (and what ordinary guy would?) I find this new design very much welcome!
In my personal opinion, it takes away the fan service without losing sexiness and emphasizes the features anyone in her position has been trying to display for the longest time: Beauty + Strength and Power.

...the only thing i dislike (but not hate) about this piece is where the lightning bolt symbol is placed.Β I'd rather have it big on display on her back, or a decent size over where her heart is...Β like where police pin their badges.
Other than that my approval stands.Β Again, very nice redesign!Β
