alright im there !!. im presently kicking around the leon russell concert in council bluffs iowa on nov.7th. got to many things going on that weekend so im torn. i sure hate to miss the old guys !!

I know Leon is still doing some tours, nothing fancy, but live stuff, none the less.
Hope you get to go. When I attended The Univ. of Iowa, we drove to Des Moines to see Ravi Shankar..

wow thats cool we have the " cottonwood prairie festival " here every year and he was the main attraction last yr( ravi ). we got really good seats on the green and had a magnificently good time leon has always been one of my favorites

hey glenn one thing i was gonna tell you about before but never got around to it.... i was at our fair many many yrs ago and i got a chance to speak with a guy whos name slips my mind as i write this. but he was one of the founding members of iron butterfly, i know his name and i got an autograph but it buried somewhere around here. anywho i got to talkin to him and he brought up the band "blues image" and was telling me of some connection between the two bands. i dont remember exactly what was said but i think he said he was either in both bands or had some relation in them both. i should check this out someday i just took him for his word. at the fair they did play " ride captain ride " and inna-godda-da-vida. now that was a pretty cool day my friend

i loved the link glenn and while i was there i double checked "blues image " for ride captian ride. if the moody blues did the original i dont think ive ever heard that version. i will have to look that up as well im gonna do some digging on the guys in butteryfly and see if i find anything i love doing this kind of stuff

it's really amazing, those details and colors made a real carnival, i think if we just lived with the pic by our eyes few minutes we may hear the sounds that carnivals make in our own visions .. that's truly great!
