Well, not really. Vectoring is a mathematical process to describe shapes and lines. Using this, an image can be created and scaled indefinitely while keeping super-sharp resolution. Once an image size is selected, it can be saved as a flattened image such as a PNG or whatever. This step sets in stone the size for that image. Once that is done, it will scale just like any other image and lose definition as it gets bigger. So, in the end, all images or raster, or pixel, images. Vectors are basically what they are before they are "flattened". I've always sucked at describing vectors, but that's about the best I can do.
"Vexels" are basically not true vectors; they are created in an image program like any other image and basically just have the appearance of vector images. Technically mine aren't even Vexels, since I DO create them in a similar process to vectors, but I do use non-scaling gradients sometimes, mostly for the eye irises.

basically vectors dont have a resolution vexels do... if im correct... now a lot of vectors im seeing on deviantArt arnt true vectors they probably were at one point then got transferred to a png or jpg but they size them about 8000 x 6000 resolution i mean why would you need more than that? ok heres an example fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201⦠(and heres a link to the artists picture) www.deviantart.com/art/Rainbow⦠you might have to scroll to the right some once you click on the svg link but that would be a vector i even did 500% zoom on the already zoomed in image and it still looks crystal sharp and its only 57.6kb the png is 7000 x 7000 resolution, is 1.3mb and vectors have mathematically infinite resolution if im correct they come with flaws but extremely small file size and well im just repeating myself
