Yes, I find Umbreon more overrated than Charizard. Why?Just look at the number of fanart for both.

Umbreon-
Charizard-I'm not A fan of it but it still is better than a stupid onion ring.
If you're a fan of Umbreon, please don't take offense. This wasn't intended to offend anyone who likes any of these pokemon.

They're cute.....and that's pretty much it, although cuter Pokemon exist.
They're mostly useless or outclassed aside.

Actually, Lucario does have a somewhat of a reason. It has pretty good stats overall, good movepool, and is pretty good in battle. Plus, it has an insanely powerful Mega Evolution.
Same with Charizard, exept regular Charizard is pretty useless. Always Mega Evolve it.
Umbreon on the other hand, doesn't have much of a reason. There are better defensive Dark types such as Mandibuzz that aren't hampered much by Taunt and has an overall better movepool. Plus, it looks cooler too. Same could be said for any Eeveelution
Vaporeon is outclassed by Jellicent and Tentacruel
Jolteon is outclassed by Tapu Koko
Flareon is outclassed by pretty much any other physical fire Pokemon
Espeon is outclassed by Alakazam
Leafeon is outclassed by Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, and Sceptile
Glaceon is outclassed by Vanilluxe and Alolan Ninetales
Sylveon is outclassed by Clefable and Primarina

At least its Mega evolutions makes it usable and has plenty of options to get past most of their checks.
Umbreon can't really do anything against them and almost always has to do the same thing over and over again.

I honestly don't have a strong opinion on Charizard, Umbreon is one of my faves, but not my number one fave, my number one fave goes to Porygon and its evos. Porygon deserves more love than Charizard and Umbreon combined! in my opinion

I find Umbreon's concept pretty interesting because it's the moonlight Pokémon and it's rings are like lunar phases of the moon. Hating it because of some weeaboo fanart on the internet is pretty ridiculous but we all have our own opinions.

Umbreon is easily my favorite Pokemon, but honestly I'm not the biggest fan of it's regular form. I only like the shiny version (mean, c'mon moon rings, also blue is my favorite color)
Charizard is probably my favorite starter (second to Fennikin-only the 1st evo) purely because.. well.. i love dragons, and none of the other starters ever interested me.

I have notice that.. I can understand the hype... but i wasn't follwing that big ol' bandwagon, my friend (who chose her opinion years before the large internetz wave of shiny umbre pics) showed me the beauty of these ones, sparking my love for dark type pokemon.

When i saw the umbre pics, at first it was a sprinkle, I said "How cute! Umbreon chibis!" then it was a hurricane.. i kinda stopped obsessing.. I mean but who con resist faving the real artist's great artwork? Not me! Sorry, i went off again..

I personally love both Pokemon for what they are.
I can admit however, I don't use them, if I have the opportunity.
I generally like all Eeveelutions equally and can't pick a favorite xD (though I'm a bit obsessed with Vaporeon lately)
Charizard is only overrated and popular because he was in the first games, and is a dragon (without being dragon type LOL logic).
It's as simple as that.
Despite dragons as a creature being my obsession, Charizard is cool but not one of my faves.
In terms of Starters, I'll take Typhlosion and/or Swampert any day.

Not to mention it's mega evolutions making it a monster. I don't hate charizard but there are better fire pokemon that deserve more. As for starters, I'll go with Greninja, Empoleon, Blastoise, Chesnaught, Sceptile and Delphox.

Johto: Typhlosion, sometimes Feraligatr
Hoenn: Any of them really, love them all..Swampert (well Mudkip) was my first starter (Sapphire being my first Pokemon game)
Sinnoh: Any of them is alright, but I for sure would choose Empoleon over the others
I didn't play Gen 5, but I would go for Samurott.
I'll take anything out of Kalos. I liked all 3 Starters, though I picked Fenniken..I got the other two eventually anyways xD
