Description Even when fear knocks on the your door, dont be afraid. "There's nothing to fear but fear itself"

It was dark, no sights could be seen or sounds heard.
The young fox struggled to keep his breath steady; "Where am I?" He frantically asked himself over and over again. The water was cold--chilling to the bone--and so dark he couldn't even see his freezing paw on the surface. His hard began to pound faster and faster; What if he couldn't swim for much longer? Where was he supposed to go? Or more worrisome...was he the only one out there?
Thoughts haunted the fox's mind.
Frightened he started swimming. Memories of his survival class popped into his mind, but oh what good would that do?
After what might as well been hours, the fox heard a blood curling cry. Immediately he stopped, so shaken that he couldn't keep above water. He submerged. Alarmed he struggled to try to get his head above water but every attempt was in vain. The moment he gave up, something happened. A bright red light came from his chest. No, not his chest. His necklace. His cross. From the small light, the ocean exploded in light. There was not a single sign of life other than him. Now he knew, he couldn't just give up. With a burst of energy, he pushed himself to the surface. Relief crashed over the fox as the still air expanded his lungs. Trying to catch his breath, he looked down at his cross. The light was shining through the murky water, and that tiny light gave him hope.
So he carried on,
but the great cry still haunted him.
Minutes passed, nothing happened. No boats, no creatures. At least, not yet.
Finally, noticed a light in the distance. A wave of happiness ran through him and he swam faster. Was it a boat? A fire? A fire means land, /Oh please let it be land!!/ He thought to himself. But maybe, could it possibly be a town?!
The more excited he got, the more hopeful his thoughts were.
This was it, he was only a meters away!
His heart could've exploded with joy!

"GRRRAAARRRR!!!!!!"

His heart skipped a beat. Immediately his smile faded and stopped dead in his tracks.

"JJJJJJJJJJ DDDDDDDDD"

The haunting sound exploded in the air. The young fox's eyes widened in fear. How did it--whatever it was--know his name?!

"Who's there?!" J.D snarled.

"OH JD YOU KNOW WHO"

J.D closed his eyes tightly. He hadn't the slightest clue. "W-Where are you?" No answer came, however the waves seemed to answer instead. The once still ocean rippled greatly, throwing J.D off balance. Growling could be heard from the deep, but where was it? The young fox bit down on his lip hard; hard enough to bleed.

"GRAH!!" a great roar sounded from behind him. Afriad he turned towards the sound and a great beast emerged. Four piercing blood red eyes illuminated the atmosphere, even as its dark green body shot into the air. JD didnt hestitate to swim away. There was no way he could survive it! Before he knew it, amazing waves crashed against his back, sending him deep into the water. As much as he tried to struggle, he didnt know if he would make it. The sight of the cross once more gave him hope, but what good would it do once at the surface? "J.D, don't lose hope. I'm with you."
J.D's eyes opened, where had the voice come from? "You're running out of time."

Without hesitation, JD pushed himself to the surface once more. Panting heavily, he tried to find the light he had once sought. Frantically he turned himself in every direction; but there was no luck. Worse off, the monster couldn't he found anywhere. "Go forward."

So that is what he did. As quickly as his body could go, he swam with all his might. He had to find the light; he had to get home. After what had appeared to be hours once more, he saw another light in the distance. Happiness once more exploded with happiness, however the thought of the monster was still in the back of his mind. "Keep going." The cross whispered.

Hastily he made his way towards the light. As he got closer, he wanted to give up. His body didnt feel like moving, he knew he couldn't swim much longer. "You're almost there." But those words seemed empty to JD. "I just cant do it! Im too tired!"

"GRAHHHH!!!!!!"

JD jumped.

"Do not be afraid."
With that JDs body became numb, shivers seemed to have ruptured from every inch of his body. Every breathe became more painful; there was no way he could keep afloat for much longer. The feeling of being alone set it, every thought of dying without anyone knowing came back. Images of the great beast haunted his mind; he knew he would soon fall victim again. He closed his eyes, and wept with any liquid left in his body. Finally, he just stopped moving...
