You're actually the first person I've seen who sees Dib with a mother. I honestly never saw Dib with a mom either, but it's interesting that I found someone who does.

Really? Oh wow, well Dib's mother was probably a character Jhonen didn't want to focus on leaving space for theories such as the theory claiming Dib is a clone. Dib's mother never had an appearance in the show, therefore I wanted to design her my way. The fact Dib potentially did have a mom who's in fact, a deceased character gives Dib a more heart-wrenching backstory that helps build up the story of this comic.
