I hope you guys aren't sick of pokeymans yet!Allira's been a lot of fun to play, but I wasn't entirely happy with her design. So I refined it down from the original sketch into something I'm a little more pleased with, although I fully expect I'll be wanting to play around with her some more in the future. She resembles a dilophosaurus much more than she did before - although it is worth remembering that she's still a reptile, not a saurian. I also sorta tweaked her markings slightly, mostly on her shoulders and legs. I still almost feel like she could use something more though, hmnnf.
She's mostly bipedal, but she can drop onto all fours should she need additional stability. She can't move very fast like this though.
I'm not entirely sure I'm pleased with how her neck frill looks folded up. It's an improvement over how it looked in her initial sketch, but I'm unsure how I feel about it hanging as loosely as it does.
Still, overall much happier with her look.

I think I said this before, but she's one of my favorite characters of yours, Moon. God, she's so beautifully colorful. I agree with what Lupis said about her new stance making her look balanced, and I've always been curious about how she would look on all fours. And the closeup image of her with her tongue out is adorable! My personal favorite is where she has her frill extended. I even named my Ji-kun Hatchling in WoW after Allira, I adore her so much.
And I want to admit something. I used to be rather meh about Heliolisk, but seeing how you've drawn one (well a Hybrid one) in this realistic style, and me becoming fond of Allira has me appreciating Heliolisk way more than I used to, and I have you to thank for that.

Aww, thank you Falcon! Consider me very much flattered. <3 I'm always at least a little worried about my characters rubbing people the wrong way, so I'm glad to hear that's not the case.
Yeah, I think the balance issue with her standing upright comes from her tail being a little too short upon hindsight. I'll probably be lengthening it up when I next get a chance to draw her to make it seem less awkward.
Heliolisk is one of my favourites from this generation, so I'm glad I could spread the love of it a little more. Even if Allira here only bears a passing resemblance to the in-game design. XD I almost think I went a little too wild.

You're welcome, Moon. Oh, I hear you there, I'm also constantly worried about people not liking my characters. I'll be looking forward to seeing that! I admit that the reason why I was initially disappointed by Helioisk's in-game design was thanks to all the fanart speculations I saw for Helioptile before, which I know isn't really fair on the poor thing. I don't think you went too wild, I love how she resembles a dilophosaurus.

Thank you Lupis! Yeah, I have to agree, I think that I need to lengthen her tail somewhat so she looks less awkward on two legs. A shame I only noticed it once it was pretty much done.
