I long for the day when I will get wings.

thankies! i was wondering if you did that with photoshop, cuz it's first time i heard bout using vectors.and also lines, was drawn with brush tools?!

Yep, you can do vectors also with Photoshop. There's a special pencil for this, but I don't know how it is called in English, sorry.
After I made the outlines with this "vector tool" I just took a very small round brush and drew some lines on the inside.
Those "pearly" structures on the outlines I also just drew with a normal brush.
But then I had a special one for the sparkles.
The curlicues are drawn by hand, too.
Could I help you a little bit? I tried my best to explain, but if you still want to ask sth, don't hesitate!

Actually it's very easy to draw these wings. I used vectors to create the shape and then I just drew some lines at the inside.

WOW this is absolutely GORGEUOS!

Wirklich es sieht absolut klasse aus. Die Farben sind phantastisch und die LichtverhΓ€ltnisse ebenfalls. Das ganze wirkt wunderbar friedlich und beruhigend.
Ich finde nur die eine StrΓ€hne sieht etwas komisch aus. Alle anderen Haarspitzen sind gewellt bis lockig, nur diese eine ist bis zu den Spitzen gerade...
