In a way yeah. My dad had to wear the same type of braces on his legs that Forrest Gump did. If you can tell by the way he holds his ankles, his legs were never quite right.

Wow, they wanted to put me in the same sort of thing and my dad refussed to let them. He said I'd out grow it and I guess I did. I did have those super ugly corrective shoes though, not the best way to be a cool kid in school...

So what was wrong with your dad's legs?

his ankles had no strength whatsoever in them and they were a bit twisted in the wrong direction.

So were mine! What a weird coincidence! I have an extra bone in my ankles and my tendons were over extended so my feet rolled inward. I'm also so flat-footed that ducks are envious.

My Dad is flat-footed too xD He was doing dancing since he didn't qualify for military service back then.

That is really too weird! I remember the doctor telling my mom she should be glad I had messed up legs because it meant I would never be drafted. So does your dad still dance?

xD He does those weird little spastic white boy Steve Martin-esque dances. And I think I saw him slow dance a few times with mom. Other than that he just doesn't dance.
