I like unusual!  

I have been struggling with skin tone... and truth to be told, I like how the skin tone on her turned out.  I just hope that I can remember the mixture for next time!

Nose!  It is very hard to draw, yes?  I am so used to drawing anime and you know how it is with anime... you don't need to draw noses!  It is mostly about the eyes!!  

By the way.. glad to see you around and oh... I plan on posting this one on the group page!  ^,^

Drawing noses even in manga style is even sometimes frustrating, especially if from the front. In my facial portrait paintings I also had tough times painting noses, I usually had to spend so much time to get things right. I painted for customers, got paid, so I had to get it right.

It is very different... when someone ask you to make something for them and you are actually getting paid.
It is like... there is that added, I don't want to say stress... but the will to do a much better job just gnaws at you.

I am working on my very first paid project- truth to be told though... I would just rather give it to her... and not take her money!  It is just the way I see things... anyways... as I was saying.... the will to do a perfect job is high.  I've been obsessing over this new project of mine to the point that it is all that I can think of.

Oh yes, the pressure is there, and the will to get it right.

Oh, that's cool! I hope things will pan out just fine in the end. For me, asking a price was always a difficult thing to do, I would always let them decide. I acutally did my paintings for very little money, compared to what other people ask like 100-500. I did it for mostly 25ish per piece, sometimes 50, rarely close to a 100, in euro's that is, but I suppose in Dollars it's fairly close-by in numbers. The problem with my painting style is that I work in detail, that a simple realistic nose, or a set of eyes, would cost me almost an entire day(especially if things don't want to work out), so I hardly paint anymore.
