Description What were once dreams turned to ashes
By the now apparent monster you've become
In present day life, consume, function, destroy
Do you remember?

Common nightly sounds that lulled you to sleep
Already nightmarish moans that weaken you and keep
Everything that's foolhardily precious to you
Don't you remember? I do, too.

Running, squealing, laughing, jumping
What happened to that joyful kid?
Struck by the miser-life that's led you to this greed
What was once whole now broken
In your senseless time of need

Do you remember
How you could play
Enjoy the comforts of life in poverty
What is wrong with that?
You're destroying me
An equal in my own right

You call me worthless,
I was the one who made you happy
You signify me as lazy,
Without considering I'm the one guarding the streets
Cursing and ranting, that's all you are now
Do you remember
What happy being you once were
But it's too late now, I'm sorry
It has been devoured by your very own greed

Fight it you may,
But this miser-life and way
Is eventually going to pay
In every single day

You wallow in your pointless greed
