Description Trees whistle in low, soft tones
Long forgotten songs tinkling upon xylophones
Whispered into my ears by miniscule pinecones

The needles, sad violins

Singing a song I have longed to know
A full and complete choir
Just barely audible to the ear
Just loud enough to hear

The weeds seem almost exotic
However the ordinary or extreme quantity
Doesn’t that make the beautiful?
Or just an unsung hero

Lost in the crowd without a mask
To show the wonderful task
That they have accomplished
Or are they as obscene as I?

The morning dew
It makes them shine
But how are they glowing
In this fog so fine

Spring flowers, they’re bright
Make faces at me
As I make my flight
Slowly across the burning surface

And of my memory darkened, no light
Of the lot ground I’m standing
Can you sense my fright
And of everything I lost in the night

I’m safe here
I’m safe here
I’m safe here
And yet so lost

I can stand
Long on my own
Grow some bones
And stand alone

But I wish it could arrive soon
This mental image of mine
A beautiful morning so fine
As I sit here in this darkness remembering

All the time I lost thinking
Of the scene I would stand staring
At in a beautiful morning so fine
Just to indulge in a simple morning image

That would become mine
