The very old Erguel Tower... I drive down this road every Friday, and this lonely tower lost in the middle of the forest always catches my eye
The tower and a small castle around it were probably built in the 11th century, but the 1st official records about it are from 1264...
it was abandoned around 1700, and from the original castle remains only this tower...

it's between Saint-Imier and Sonvilier, 2 villages in the canton of Bern, in Switzerland... If you type Sonvilier on google maps or earth and go a little bit south-east, you see it...
