43rd page of my Explorer's Notebook for the Animal of the Month Event at : the Ganges Soft-Shelled Turtle! this is quite an amazingly-looking reptile!!! Its long snout and the very, very flat shell truly give it a unique shape! This turtle lives in the Ganges, Indus and Mahadani rivers; it's a fast swimmer that eats plants and small animals, and that can often be recognized when it's swimming by its snout coming out of the water for a breath and the peculiar patterns on its back
