By FAR my favorite reaction, and probably my favorite memory.

This particular shot is posed, but the actual proposal was BEAUTIFUL. I WISH you guys could have seen his face from where I was kneeling. Priceless. Aere got video, too--hopefully that will be posted soon. If you don't mind a read, I will TRY to describe the pure awesome that was the situation.

So I run into this Brock, who I liked the best. (For ladies, it didn't matter how good or bad their costume was, they just had to be a Pokegirl, but for the gents they had to be DAMN good because I don't really do Pokemon yaoi.) He's the best I've seen, so I decide he's my new fianceé. We take our pictures together (why Aere didn't send those to me I don't know), and this is exactly how it goes:

Me: "Sorry, this is for the shippers." *gets on one knee, ring in hand* "Will you marry me?"
Brock: *literally JUMPS BACK, HANDS IN THE AIR, eyes wide, expression stunned* "WHAT?!"
Me: *TRIES to keep a straight face, fails, cracks up, falls over*
Aere: *recording, apparently--I didn't know this*
Me: *straightens up* "So, will you marry me?"
Brock: *looks around like he's on a hidden TV show* "Wait, you're serious?"
Me: "Yes! Say yes!"
Brock: "Um...uh...yes?"
Me: "Yay!....Take the ring!"
Brock: "Okay..." *takes ring*
Me: *hugs Brock*

And Brock still had the best expression of "Did that really just happen?" that I've ever seen in my LIFE. Oh, GOD. Funniest thing since Tranny Misty. When he found out he got to keep his ring, he was equally surprised, but he did get a kick out of it. What was funny was that we ran into him two more times that day--once when I was in costume as Ash at the grocery store and we joked about how we were married (in front of a few normal people I'd previously been attempting to explain cosplay to no less), then at the dance when I was dressed as (as Aere put it) "sexy pirate lolita Ghastly". He actually didn't recognize me as Ghastly, but I don't blame him--I actually looked like a girl.

Anyway, that was Awesome Brock, whom I shall hold forever dear to my heart. Brock, I hope you email me, because I'd love to hear what you thought of our encounter. Also, thank you for having the most wonderful and in character reaction to Bouldershipping that I could have ever possibly have hoped for. Gary wasn't nearly as awesome.

(EDIT: also, he's wearing the SINNOH COSTUME. I love this guy so much...)
