Makes me think of when I have panic attacks at night, the bad ones that render you paralyzed... And then I just have to wait for my boyfriend to notice.
Either way, as I said before you create brilliant expressions and moods. I love how this can be interpreted in many different ways! Art is always more interesting when different people can relate to the same piece!

I know this is going to be a weird compliment but... I really like the knuckles and fingernails. It's these little details that I keep coming back to when I look at this. Also the way the pillow folds under the smaller one's hands.
I would say something smart about interpretation, but everyone's got that covered.

Wow... this is a stunning piece. It's amazing how it can be interpreted in so many different ways... it could be a guy trying to console his girlfriend, a kid about to be abused, someone in withdrawl, a nightmare... the fact that you expressed gentlness and malice, fear and expectation, and mystery all at once is pretty inrecredible! There's way more than meets the eye! This is one of the most thought provoking pics I've seen on here

It's interesting to read the comments...about half seem to think it's an image of a child in an abusive situation, and the other half seem to think it's one (consenting)lover wanting to comfort the other... How very ambiguous! Lovely linework and atmosphere as always.
