Description Oil on canvas

This painting is an expansion on the theme of organic structure and light emitting caves.
I'm fascinated with the concept of in-vitro meat; muscle grown in a lab. This is being developed and should be available on the market within a few years. Would it be possible to train the muscle to create a living structure? It could be genetically engineered and prompted to form tunnels and have building-like qualities, however still exhibit some biological qualities - teeth, veins, sinew, bone...

In real-life, some would call such a structure disgusting but I think I'd find it awe-inspiring. Excellent work on this piece.

awesome concept, im not really squicked by the fact of eating a living wall of meat, but many people still don't like the idea even if it may be the key to our survival in years to come. Very good work!

I really like this a lot. It reminds me of a book I have called, "Magnifications" (1977), which is a book of black and white electron microscope photography.
I would still call it a landscape of sorts, also.

It'd make for great innards of a bio-space-ship.

It is bit like the inside of the bioship in Lexx, although I wasn't planning that when I started.

I have to say, I love your work. I really dig your process of imagination and then the accompaniment of beautiful execution. Great work.
This would need a lot of salt and pepper before I could eat it though.

The caves are a standard theme through my paintings but the organic matter has slowly evolved from tree roots to muscle and bone over time - it's weird how these themes develop.

Amazing and well-articulated piece!
The concept behind it is fascinating and a little scary... It will be very helpful for people suffering from degenerative virus... or to make a little frankenstein eheh
