I'll just agree with you that the hair rocks (so does her face) and couldn't have been redone. How's that? And nice history lesson there. But really, I think that the head and body size, while not normal, fits for this sort of fey creature. Although since you were going for more realistic proportions I can understand being bummed about it, but it still looks fantastic, so... I don't know how to end that thought. Um, you were happy enough with it to post it here? That says something about it, I think. Mainly that it is all shades of pretty and cool like your other stuff, and this time not oozing the excessive cuteness either!

Not Christmasy entirely, but still has nice little elf curltoed shoes! Very cute though, and a nice history lesson for the day w00t

Sketchiness does look good with the piece though. The hair is really great, and I kind of like the expression on the face.. kind of grumpy/pissed. (Maybe because everyone expects her to be all Christmassy? )

You noted yourself the head is a bit too big, and I agree, but otherwise it's a very nifty piece.

^_^ Thanks! I think the reason her head turned out so big was because I drew it first and the full-size picture was too big to have her head onscreen at the same time as her body, so I couldn't see them both at once to keep it in perspective. I liked her expression and hair too much to erase her head and do it again, and I'd pretty much finished her body so I couldn't change that either...ah well. I'm happy you like it though!

Yeah, that makes it a little difficult when the whole drawing's being done on the computer itself from scratch... though I tend to try and zoom out and doublecheck a lot.. never used that program, so may be tougher to do with it than it is in Adobe.

I really do love her face though it and her hair was really beautiful.

^_^ Painter is not even the least bit user-friendly, unlike my old pal Photoshop. Once you start to get the hang of it you can do some great things with it...I'm just not quite used to it yet, still. >.< Blah. I need to Photoshop something. It actually is harder to zoom in and out in Painter, you can use the same keystroke as Photoshop but it does it in weird increments. You end up with stuff viewed at 109% and bizarre useless percentages like that.

I'm surprised her lips turned out as good as they did, usually I do really anime-looking lips but these are almost American-comic style. Not a bad change really.
