Description Livia Starlight, born into the ethereal hidden city in the sky called Elysium, inhabited by a race of bat-winged humanoids called Aetherwing, possessed a unique ability to conceal her kind from the human world. These elusive beings rarely ventured into the realms of humanity, but Livia's spirit overflowed with curiosity and an adventurous longing to explore the world below. Her father, a revered hunter and warrior, imparted upon her the art of archery, nurturing her natural talent and fostering a deep passion for the craft. Mastering the bow and arrow, she wielded her skill both as a means of sport and defense, channeling her spirit into every shot.

Livia's personality radiated with brightness and an outgoing demeanor, yet concealed within her was a profound fear of rejection and the pain that could accompany human interaction. She developed a defensive mechanism, often cloaking herself in coldness and distance, employing sarcasm and insults to ward off those who dared to approach. Few were granted entry into her inner circle, but to those she held dear, she showcased unwavering loyalty and a brave heart.

At the age of 17, destiny wove a fateful encounter between Livia and a human boy named Alaric, transpiring within the very field where her arrows danced through the air. Alaric possessed a rare gift—a sight that could pierce through the veils and behold her true form. His curiosity and kindness led him to approach Livia, captivated by her wings and enchanted by her presence. As they delved into each other's worlds, they discovered an undeniable connection, drawing them closer with an intense attraction that defied societal boundaries. Secret meetings within the field nurtured their love, each moment a precious ember of forbidden bliss. Their commitment to one another eclipsed the disapproval of their respective societies; they were content and fiercely loyal.

Deeply enamored by Livia and determined to be able to accompany her in her world, Alaric becomes obsessed with a story Livia's father once shared. The tale speaks of a mystical transformation ritual that, if successful, would grant a human the ability to sprout bat-like wings and traverse the skies alongside their bat-winged counterparts. Fueled by his love and the desire to bridge the gap between their worlds, Alaric embarks on a perilous quest to undergo this transformation.

Driven by his unwavering determination, Alaric delves into ancient texts and seeks out elusive sources of knowledge: A malevolent cult which sought to exploit his unique sight for their dark rituals. He unearths fragments of the transformation ritual, long forgotten and considered dangerous unaware of the risks involved, he gathers the necessary ingredients for the ritual.

Their idyllic love story was shattered when the ritual goes catastrophically wrong. Instead of bestowing him with the desired bat-like wings, Alaric's body begins to undergo a horrifying and uncontrollable metamorphosis. His limbs contort, bones elongate, and his once-human form is twisted into a grotesque aberration. The transformation, far from the graceful image he envisioned, becomes a nightmare that threatens to consume him entirely.

Terrified and anguished, Alaric flees in despair, haunted by the consequences of his reckless endeavor. Livia, confronted with the devastating outcome released an arrow that found its mark in Alaric's heart, ending his torment. Consumed by grief and self-blame of Alaric's ill-fated pursuit, she retreated from the world, wallowing in isolation and succumbing to the depths of depression. Her external appearance, mirroring the weight of her guilt and sorrow, underwent a transformation. Her once vibrant electric pink hair dulled to a somber brown, flowing in tresses that stretched several feet long. Horns emerged upon her brow, a painful reminder of her role in Alaric's tragedy. Her skin, drained of color, turned pale grey, and her once radiant eyes lost their luster, void of the vibrant hues that once reflected her spirit.
