i love the contrast between the red of the rose, and the black and white of the notes!

The piece is quite difficult; I purposely chose a page with lots of notation when I set up the scene.

nice, what piece?

morbid-picasso In reply to luda888 [2006-05-12 02:43:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

It's one of Chopin's nocturnes. Looking at the picture, I think it's in E-flat major.

do you play?

morbid-picasso In reply to luda888 [2006-05-13 03:28:32 +0000 UTC]

Yep, though not that particular piece. I'm studying Grade 10 Royal Conservatory this year... it's mostly a Canadian thing.

Wow, what have you played?

morbid-picasso In reply to luda888 [2006-05-17 00:56:33 +0000 UTC]

I've played lots (way too much to list), but right now I'm playing... Bach's Prelude and Fugue in F minor (from book 2), Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique, Chopin's Nocturne in b flat minor, Prelude No. 5 by Debussy and Variations on Land of the Silver Birch by Gallant (I'm pretty sure).

ps- You've got some really nice photographs in your gallery

ooh... I love the second movement of the Moonlight Sonata

On a side note, did you know that Beethoven didn't call it the Moonlight Sonata? He just had it as Sonata no. whatever it was. His publisher titled it because he thought it would sell better.

Very classic shot but it would be better (in my opinion) without shadow on the rose.
