OK so now you all get to see one of the things that was keeping me from writing much for the past several weeks. For my 2d Design class we were tasked with making examples from either a Tarot or Playing Card deck. I decided i wanted to do Sabaac Cards and since the Sabaac Deck tends to match up well with a Tarot Deck it was allowed. I chose to do 4 cards along with one showing the back. the cards are the 2 and 3 of sabers, The Idiot, and The Queen of Air and Darkness.

Notes on the cards and scans:

I chose the cards to represent a Idiot's Array (2, 3, Idiot) the best hand in Sabaac. I chose the Queen basically because i wanted to do it and was initially torn between doing Shira Brie or Jaina Solo. I settled on Shira Brie.

I chose A-Wings to symbolize the saber suit just because of all the Alliance/New Republic Fighters i find that in terms of tactics and descriptions they are more likened to swords than say an x-wing is in the EU.

The Idiot card is Wes Janson (Rogue 6) as he appears in Empire. He's been described as a womanizer, a hotshot, a joker and a trickster which basically makes him perfect for The Idiot. The Fool Card in Tarot is supposed to show the fool on a precipe, with a animal, and with a flower normally a rose. For The Idiot Card i placed Kettch in the top left corner and replaced the side decal (can't remember the name of it) with roses

The Queen of Air and Darkness is Shira Brie also known as Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya. she was a member of Rogue Squadron and an Imperial Spy. She was first introduced in the Marvel Star Wars comic line and has since become something of a nemesis to Luke Skywalker. She was killed off in the Legacy of the Force series.

I'm sorry about the scans i was in a hurry to mount them before it was due and i'm afraid that i put some of the cards upside down, and I'm sorry about the streaks i accidentally smudged some of the ink and never had time to correct it. I'll get some pics of it mounted up either this week or next week.
