Had a really bad day today that has totally destroyed my weekend. (Those seemingly become more frequent at the end of a semester.)So to wind down from today, I did a quick sketch of Raven for
I'm one of those people that thinks the costume and the character's personality in the comics was vastly superior to that of the show. However, Raven looked better in the show, horrible costume aside. (Though, recent artists have changed that.)
So I've always wanted to reconcile what I like about the comics and the show with her. So for shits and giggles I gave her a costume that was reminiscent of the comics.
God, I hate that leotard... it's probably why I put draw her in jeans. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I always think a gymnast looks more attractive in regular clothes than in her leotard. Leotards just aren't flattering.

I love the gloves, but personally, I was a huge fan of the leotard, and still am to this day. Had I the body for it I would do a cosplay of her.

I personally had no issue with the costume Raven wore in the Teen Titans animated series, but this one is rather spiffy as well. Plus, as it has been noted, there's a reduced chance of wedgies

Its weird I love Raven because the leotard. Its strange how in a Kids show put a teen girl fighting the crime in a leotard

I wouldn't recommend flying in that, unless you intend to give people on the ground a show. Also... fighting in that might be a problem, way too easy to pop out (that's been said about WW too).

She looks particularly busty in this pic! This pic and its theme do remind me of the real early comic Raven. I remember when the Titans infiltrated the Church of Brother Blood, and Raven revealed that it was the first time she ever wore pants, and she certainly didn't like them!

Nice variation on the classic Comic dress. I actualy like this dress better than the one in the comics because its strapless and the comic one is high necked and sleevelessthis one shows off more skin, also the stockings are a nice touch not in the comic
