So! About the art block... Of course, between now and my last upload (gyaaa, so long!), I've drawn a lot more than this, but I'm so ambivalent about posting it all! Like, I've done a lot of work on my original characters, but I always feel sheepish showing them to other people. (mind, if there's interest and/or I'm pestered, we'll see) Plus I'm still frustrated that everything I envision in my head never turns out on paper! (but really, who isn't?)

This piece, for example, was in a much different style in my head (although the color scheme was there; white/pink/black) and had a more dynamic perspective, but I guess I'm too sleepy and lack the training to pull it off properly. I might redo this sometime if I can get it to look right.

I find working to music helps shake off an art block! Not just having music playing in the background, but how the lyrics and melody inspire you, and the images that pop into your head while you listen (I figure a good song always gets my imagination going!). This, for example, was inspired by Coldplay's "Low" (a specific line in the song, even). The song made me think of this wonky color scheme, too. Drawing what a song makes you think of is a fun timewaster, anyway XD
