Description

I finally have my OWN Taco to draw. :3 Hurrah!

This takes place sometime before Silla is full grown, maybe like 7-8 months old?

The air was quiet and still, making our training excursion a difficult one to say the least. Silla and I are still rather new to each other and though we respect each other greatly, our trust in each other is still growing. We teach each other new things constantly, but today I must show him how to cooperate with me more so than on previous tasks. Today we are tracking. Large or small prey, we must learn to be silent.

Silla is still too small to carry my weight, though he is easily 150 pounds greater than me. We both trudge through the snow, being as steady as possible. Silla's panting is a bit loud, but he will soon learn to keep his tongue in his mouth. A sharp breeze whips across our faces. I throw my arms up in time to block any frozen snow. Silla unluckily catches shards of snow and ice on his tongue. He is a quick learner.

The sun is causing both of us to squint. Reflecting off of the mirror like snow, it's almost impossible to see. We take a break to gather ourselves. Silla is full of energy, I on the other hand am not. The wind picks up again and swirls vortexes of ice-y snow around our bodies. Just ahead is a thicket of small shrubs and trees. We can reach it and bunk down until the wind subsides.

We reach the thicket and I crawl in. Green grass desperately peaks through the snow searching for sunlight. I signal Silla to come too, reluctanly he pushes through the brush, not bothering to hunker down. He causes snow and dead leaves to fall from the small trees and it lands down my jacket. I take a deep breath and calm my frustrations. I signal for him to lay and he ignores it. It's then I realize he is blocking a back draft from reaching me.

Silla's ear flick forward and my heart jumps, if I could make it stop beating I would. Both our breathing gets quieter and we wait for the snow tornadoes to scatter. We both heard it. We were both excited.

THUMP..THUMP...THUMPTHUMPTHUMP...

I could barely make it out once our visual was back to 100% but sure enough the was tracks in the snow before us. Silla caught a scent and went to lunge out from the thicket. I quickly corrected him and he made a low, angry groan. In front of us was a large white rabbit, not even 15 feet away. It was hardly tracking, but the fact that both of us were silent enough as a team to be this close was a successful training.
