Description
Just a Mithra Blue Mage from Final Fantasy XI. Done for a website. :3I opted to color this one in Photoshop, under the impression that hey, with layers and Ctrl+Z and everything, it won't take as long as coloring it with markers, right?
Um, wrong. XD Took about the same amount of time, around four to five hours, not counting lineart (which was about an hour's time alone due to sketching and re-sketching). There are lots of errors here and there, but I guess it could be worse. XD
Final Fantasy XI is copyright to Square-Enix. The drawing itself is copyright to Ushigami/Mori-Sayurii, a.k.a. me.

It's so pretty~ I really like her face, and the blue on blue looks great. Is that periwinkle? Whatever it is it's a nice choice.

Her face kind of turned out different than what I was originally going for, but it didn't turn out half bad when I finished it. I personally liked how well her ears turned out.
I think it's a periwinkle color, as that was what I was kind of aiming for. I'm very glad you liked the picture. :3 Thank you for your comment. <33333

Wow, this takes me back to my time playing FFXI... those were the days. I was a THF/RNG which got laughed at a lot but when ToAU came out I started on COR. It was fun but I just didn't have enough time to play anymore ;_;

XD Mithra for the win! FFXI is very, very time consuming, but it's getting a bit better, with the exp at least. I'm a long ways away from getting any of these jobs, but I look forward to the time I can get them.
Why did folks laugh at you for playing a THF/RNG? If you can make it work, I don't see what the problem is.

Well, that's what I thought too, and usually it wasn't a huge deal... but some people got really anal about it. Usually if you're a THF you sub NIN (unless something's changed since I quit) so you can have shadows for pulling and you don't get raped on your way back to camp. Also for dual wielding. But I never really had a problem and I also built my TP way faster with the ranged accuracy I had.

But ranting aside, it was actually quite fun to play! And it's good to hear getting exp is easier now.

Yes, lies I tell you! It's just like the cake. And just when you think you're finished, you realize, oh, I should add a filter or two for cool effects, and end up reading a gazillion tutorials on filters and other things and then spend half your life on Wikipedia all the while forgetting to finish the picture.

hmm, constructive criticism: Her torso looks like it might need to be shifted to the left our left her right) Or trim a little off of the right side of her torso (our right, her left) it would slim her a little and fix the slight skew ^^
