Description
Gorsefur sat sunning himself in the last of the leafbare warmth on the walls of the grotto. Gazing softly and sleepily over the camp after a long day of patrolling and hunting his eyes settled on Cobwebkit. The little she-kit rolled around, batting at pebbles. Gorsefur smiled, but then the tom frowned, squinting his eyes to focus as he sat up, peering closer. A snake! the tom recognised the shimmer of a Montpelier snake winding around the larger rocks behind Cobwebkit, it's body tensing as it reeled backwards.
"COBWEBKIT GET BACK" Gorsefur shouted as he threw himself down into the grotto, his paws only breifly grazing the various ledges as he rushed to the startled kits aid. Cobwebkit was backing up, looking around wild eyed by the time Gorsefur was beside her, knocking the snake up with a swift under swipe before batting it away. The serpent lay shocked for a moment before it tried slithered away into the rocky cliff face surrounding the grotto. Gorsefur pounced on the creatures tail and gave it a quick nip around the back of it's neck "you ain't hurting any of our kits" he hissed quietly.
