You are so right... Primula is such an adorable name! In Spanish they are also called sometimes "primaveras" because they are the first flowers that appear in spring (spring = primavera).

Oh, I love this picture. Don't get me wrong, I'm jealous of your human anatomy in almost every picture, but this is just even better! So realistic. The way the legs are folded, for example, and the folds of the dress... It seems very natural.
Love the flowers. The English name is indeed a bit... offensive, yeah. The Swedish name is so much better. The Dutch name is "key flower", I think, though I don't really know the flower.

love this! the flowers and the girl are so cute! her dress fit's perfectly with the flowers. :3
the Dutch name for Gullviva (way better then cowslip, your right!) is ''Gulden Sleutelbloem'' roughly translated to English it means ''Golden Keyflower'' although ''Gulden'' is a really old way of saying golden, today we say ''Gouden'' but the flower name never changed.

seems like it, maybe the person who found the flower had a fascination with keys?

Also known in English as "primrose", IIRC.
