I enjoy characters like your interpretation of Kuzco; idiotic a lot of the time but rarely if ever actively malicious. Of course I also tend to ship them with someone who can act as their brain/leash, such as Tamaki/Haruhi of "Ouran High School Host Club" (idiot and brain/leash respectively).
