the reason they can take road salt & air pollution. they're planted in cities all over the globe. its usually the London Plain Trees they use as a city street tree. they don't grow as tall as the wild native Sycamores that are native in every state at least the lower 48. both Sycamores will have huge trunks. the native ones can exceed up to 150+ ft in height!!!
