A bifurcation in the middle indicates the good health of the puppy, as does a thick cord (which means the puppy is constantly pulling on it). The bifurcation at the withers of the cub indicates that it will be a large individual. A thin and whole cord means that the puppy will be very affectionate, docile.

The whole process takes 2 weeks - from the formation of cords to the fetus and puppy. Before this, the individual gains weight for a very long time, since these two weeks will not be able to hunt. After the formation of the puppy, the fangs-cords fall out in the adult, and later they fall out in the puppies. After that, an adult individual cannot hunt for a very long time and switches to eating carrion and fruits, which often leads to exhaustion and death.

If the breeder wants to avoid the appearance of cubs, then at the time of growth of the fangs, it is necessary to remove them. New ones will grow in their place, but this will take time.
