Description A necromancer, summoning his minions - the bodies of those buried long ago beneath the mountains.
Necromancers have to be my favourite spellcasters!

The undead sitting on the rock is named Murray, whereas the one sneaking up from behind is named Eddie - after the famous Eddie.

Sorry for the huge watermark, but I've experienced more and more art theft lately.

Beautiful detail, it's so beautiful. I seem to have fallen in love with the minion on the rock. His eyes are so sad and seem to want to tell a story.

Awesome job, love the tattoo on his chest and his armor and love the skeletons. Necromancy is my favorite type of spell work too, though its tied with Elementalists but anyways great job

I'm glad you like the tattoo, I had a lot of fun designing it. Actually I made a lot of different tattoo designs for him, and deciding which one to finally use was quite difficult.... but I hope I chose the right one. Anyway, thank you very much!

My gosh this is STUNNING! I adore the composition, the colors, the designs, the background, the staff, it's truly amazing!
One little thing though, I think the necromancers upper legs appear a bit too thin for my tastes, maybe that's because of the clothes, or maybe necromancers are like that, I have no idea! ^.^ I just think that a bit bigger upper legs would make him look more powerful. Just thinking! ^.^
But for the rest, it's really great! I admire your talent!!

Yeah, you might be right about his upper legs, I never though about it myself... I wanted him to look slender like the average necro, but not bony.... he's still too young for turning into a lich, you know However, I think I might test altering his propotions next time I repaint him, and see what happens. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it...!

I am going to gess that reason that one sneaking up behind him is becuase it someone you know someone named Eddie who is mischevious...well it a guess....anways i like this panting the detial in amazing and I how you can see the detial in the sekeletons really clearly.

Hmm... That's a very good guess, but if that was the case I would probably have painted the necro stabbing the thing instead.... But that's indeed a good idea for names, I'll definitely consider when I make my female necromancer.... However, I prefer naming my characters after people I like (even though I've realised it often makes people quite uncomfy... I wonder why...) Anyways, I'm very glad you like this painting! Thanks...

Oh, don't do that, it wasn't that easy to know unless you listen to that band a lot.
Actually, there is another reason for the name as well; when I was younger I got the crazy but creative idea to build two life-sized zombies out of a broken easel, a bookshelf and some other stuff I found in my room. I named my favourite one Eddie. The other one I named *drumroll* Freddie. Unfortunately they both fell apart within a year...
But I didn't expect anyone to know that, of course...

Thanks! I loved painting those skeletons coming out through the rocks. Actually I added them quite late in the composition; I got brainwashed when painting the first few skeletons and then I started see skeletons everywhere in the patterns of the background, so I started empathizing them, and.... I kinda liked the result, so I kept them.

Eh, err... thank you! Noone has ever *cough* kissed my *cough* before. I'm sorry, it's just this nasty cold that I recently caught, but it's getting better.

Oh yes, necromancers are awesome! I just got the suggestion to paint a "Lovecraftian" necro of the 1920th .... I wonder if I could do that, but I suppose it's allways good to try new things....
