Well considering Screams death looked just like when she killed the Life Foundation members, it would be a simple matter to bring the symbiote back at some point like they did with those, and even after Hybrid was killed (in a gruesome manner), the four symbiotes came back anyway somehow.
So the host is dead, but the symbiote is likely still alive and waiting to be brought back.

it was a few years ago, Eddie Brock (now without Anti-Venom as that Neo-Symbiote died during Spider-Island), went on a Symbiote killing spree. He killed Hybrid's host and Scream's host.
However while Scream's symbiote remains MIA, the four that were on Hybrid split apart and *somehow* were found and captured by the government and bound to a group called The Mercury Team, which was joined by Scorn *whose symbiote is an offspring of Carnage* to hunt down Carnage.
the Mercury team members were then killed, the four symbiotes merged onto Deadpool before Scorn beat Carnage. The symbiotes left Deadpool and went onto a dog.
Also Toxin's host was killed (by Blackheart off panel), and the Toxin symbiote is currently on Eddie Brock.
and to top off this update on Symbiote, the Venom symbiote has a newer child (2013)...which was really an older clone that was inside the symbiote after it was absorbed and split off again....Mania.
Unfortunately Marvel is so sporadic with the symbiotes with so many years passing between their use that it can be jarring how they suddenly change things *like randomly killing off older hosts who HAD happy endings like Hybrid and Toxin*.

ah. i remember seeing the deadpool vs carnage arc. so those were hybrid's symbiotes? well that just sucks. i hate when they make venom randomly dark like that. it doesn't really fit with his persona since he can actually be reasoned with generally. sigh... oh well. doesn't mean i can't have fun with their artwork-speaking of... here's another piece of scream. i didn't know her name but i do enjoy working on her every so often.

Oh, it wasn't Venom that did the killings. It was Eddie Brock. the Venom symbiote is currently and at the time was on Flash Thompson. Where it looks to be staying for the time being.
Eddie has gone up and down the insanity scale a lot since his Venom days.

yeah... i'm not fond of how the new writers have played with eddie and venom since they brought goblin back as spidey's mainstay in the early 2000's. they just lost the feel of the character and what he was supposed to be.

ye well they did tar apart the Anti-Venom Symbiote to cure all of New York in the spider island incident so unless every New Yorker turns into a Mine-Anti-Venom we'll not be seeing him ether, hell if that happens I called it

She was unfortunately killed by Eddie Brock in Venom 12, It pissed me off enough into creating a group called BringScreamBack [link] If anyone agrees with me that killing her off was a stupid idea you can join my group (I'm not trying to troll, I'm trying to get marvel to bring her back since she hasn't been in a comic in nearly 16 years, and they make a stupid decicion to kill her off as she just makes her return to marvel Canon.)

considering they can take three years just to get back to Mania and Venom's unfinished story.
But they are so random with symbiotes. the way Scream died tells me the host is dead but the symbiote is likely still somewhere and can be brought back at anytime * just like with the Life Foundation four and their bad luck with hosts.

very true. That's Marvel for you. I mean heck they randomly killed an ex-Avenger during Annihilation Conquest years back because someone apparently forgot she WAS an Ex-Avenger.

yeah. well marvel also did the dumb thing of turning venom's symbiot psychotic and removing it from eddie brock. the symbiote used to be a good guy comparable to its specie and wasn't trying to hurt people. and i heard they pretty much killed carnage too.
so all this in favor of the low grade and pathetic green goblin who is something of a joker knock off. way to go marvel. get rid of the symbiotes and give us crappy goblins.

If you look closely at Cletus Kasady's Older appearences you'll see he resembles the Joker except without the clown appearence and his hair's red.
