Description This drawing is a part of my tribute to Michael Jackson, the KING OF POP.

This is from the episode "Stark Raving Dad" of The Simpsons' 3rd season.

One of my favorite episodes.
When I watching this episode, it is a tribute to Michael Jackson.

Homer is sent to a mental institution, where he shares a cell with a large white man who acts like he is Michael Jackson. Not knowing who Jackson is, Homer believes him.

Michael reveals that he is Leon Kompowsky, a brick-layer from Paterson, New Jersey. He explains that he does his Michael voice due to the fact he felt angry for the majority of his life and that he earned people's respect when he did the vocal impersonation.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Jackson: I can't believe you've never heard of me, I'm a very popular entertainer.
Homer: of course I've heard of you! I mean you'd have to be living under a rock not to know...what'd you say you name was?
Michael Jackson: Michael Jackson.
Homer: Doesn't ring a bell.
Michael Jackson: Well have you heard of MTV?
Homer: No
Michael Jackson: Motown?
Homer: No
Michael Jackson: Beat it?
Homer: You beat it!
Michael Jackson: Thriller?
Homer: What was that last one again?
Michael Jackson: Thriller.
Homer: No.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael sings a segment of "Billie Jean" while performing the moonwalk
Michael Jackson: [singing]
Billie Jean is not my lover
She just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son. Hee hee hee!
Homer: Wow! How do you do that thing with your feet?
Michael Jackson: The moonwalk?
Homer: NO! That thing with your feet!

I remember this episode Leon Kompowsky (pretending to be Michael Jackson).

I actually adore the song 'Happy Birthday Lisa ' Michael Jackson and Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson) sang together.

Yeah, Michael made that song.
Michael Jackson performed the speaking voice of Leon Kompowsky under the pseudonym of John Jay Smith.

Kipp Lennon sang the songs because Jackson was only contracted to speak, not sing. He sang Jackson's songs "Ben" and "Billie Jean" as well as the original song "Lisa, It's Your Birthday," written by Jackson.

Michael was a fan of the show.

Michael Jackson was a huge fan of Bart and, wanting to give him a number one single, co-wrote the song "Do the Bartman" although he did not receive credit for it. Jackson also wrote the song "Happy Birthday Lisa" for the episode, which was later included in the album Songs in the Key of Springfield.
A version of the song was reportedly scheduled to be included on a bonus disk in the October 2001 special edition of Jackson's 1991 album Dangerous. However, the bonus disk was eventually dropped from the album.
