Mmmk crtis - could be my monitors, but it does look quite dark - not sure if we should use much below 10% black, except for small areas. I think for print it's even 20% black. Might be worth playing with levels. Again you could maybe use even stronger rim lights, though everyone is doing that at the moment, it does seem to sell though. Could be worth bring a rapoza or kotaki painting in to photoshop and comparing the lighting side-by-side with your, and check the levels. The piece could even be cropped to a MTG style size if that's the kind of thing you're doing for. everything else looks excellent, great posing of both character and creature! are you on skype? maybe we could crit each other, i don't really have many contacts yet.

Thanks for the crit m8,definetly going to fix the black. I was kind of trying to stay away from overdoing the rimlight, a few of my later pics where all with massive rims, and to me it's easier to make an appealing image using this technique, this time i wanted to get good results without. Maybe i should just put them in. It is my goal to work for wizards and that sort of stuff so i will definetly compare kakai's stuff, i can use alot of his loose style, mine is way to controled and looks to stiff.
I have skype although never used it but it would be great to work help each other out. I'm most definetly in. Can i ask you what your goals are?

Well I know what you mean, the rim light thing has kinda been done to death in recent years. Just check the M:TG cards and make sure it fits in somehow.
Actually short term I have a similar goal, I'd like to work for Wizards, just doing environments, if that's even possible!
